It is Black Friday and most of us are still pretty stuffed from all the great food we had with our family and friends yesterday. This morning we had quite a few vendors opening their doors to get ready for the , hopefully, overflowing customers expected throughout the weekend. You will, as always, find some interesting items, antique items, bargain items and handcrafted items. Support Small Businesses and SHOP LOCAL this weekend. You can always order online from the big chain stores and have things delivered but coming out to the market is a great way to spend some time with friends, neighbors and more than likely, some of your family as vendors and as customers.

Restaurant Updates

Diane’s Restaurant is featuring their usual home-cooked meals as well as some fast food items you might want to stop by and grab a bite while you’re walking the many rows here in the market.

Diane is wanting to sell her restaurant “lock, stock and barrel” so stop on by and do a deal on the Green Row.

Toni’s Kitchen has her new Sliced Pork Plates as well as home-made chili along with her regular items for you to enjoy this weekend.

Toni is still looking for a professional Fryer top as well as a professional slicer machine. If you know of anyone who has a good one at a reasonable price please stop on by her place on the Yellow Row.

Market Events

The Pay to Spay people only have two more days here this year and that is a clinic day. You can, of course, drop on by and get an application for your pet for next year. Please like, share, comment and follow their upcoming fundraising event being held at the Gainesville Garden Club from 11 am to 4 pm.

The Historical Battle Cannon Demonstration team will be in the front area of the market on December 14, 2019. Be prepared for loud booms most of the day. As soon as we get more information on the company doing the event we will create an event for the calendar page as well as our Facebook page.

Update on the Super Shopper Contest that the market is participating with the local newspaper: Shoppers please fill out the little form and hand it in to the vendor who gave it to you or to the office here at the market. Entries will be picked up by someone from the newspaper and a drawing will be held at their office. The newspaper will contact the winners. The prizes include coupons, gift certificates and merchandise from local small businesses. Great deal for the shoppers and helps local businesses get their names out there too!

And now for our weekend picture slideshow from around the market. Please remember these pictures are generally taken in the morning hours and do no reflect every single open vendor or even the number of people coming in to see what we have to offer on any given day. Enjoy, please like, share and comment!
