October is National Book month and we will be having a Support Your Local Author Event right here in the market on Saturday, October 19, 2019 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. We hope you and yours will come out and support our local tri-county area published writers, ask lots of questions and even start a few writers groups. Yes, the vendor spaces are rapidly filling up and some of our vendors have moved to different spaces around the market. All just in time for the influx of tourists coming to the area to enjoy the weather, the natural resources and just because they can. Hopefully, we all will either get some great bargains or make some money over the next couple of months.
Boy, we are having a really busy weekend and, of course, it doesn’t help that my laptop went on the fritz yesterday morning so I couldn’t finish this post. But such is life. We are having a nice influx of new vendors wanting spaces here at the market. Some of them are even crafters! We welcome them all and look forward to having a full house for the fall and winter season. Come on down and check us out every weekend. You just never know what you’re going to find.
Hey, everybody! Hope you and yours are staying dry and safe out there. We hope to see everyone at least one of the three days we are open this weekend because you just never know what you are going to find here at the Market. Sonny and his helper have been working on converting a couple of booths on the Red Row into enclosed Booth and a half. You can add the walls and windows to your booth if you don’t like the chain link fence and would perhaps be able to run a small ac unit for you and your customers.
Happy 4th everybody! Hope you and yours are having a safe and wonderful holiday weekend.
We had quite a few storms passing through yesterday in the county and surrounding area and not everyone was able to have their fireworks display. A few places around the tri-county area will reschedule. Even though they are loud and disturb our pets it is still awe-inspiring to watch a really good coordinated fireworks show.
We have finally reached the last weekend in June. It is sad when we wish the days to pass quickly but most of our vendors hope for cooler weather and the return of our northern visitors. Don’t get get us wrong we love our local buyers too but right now everyone local is on vacation, spending money keeping cool and spending time with their kids swimming, boating, fishing, etc. Also, the summer crops are in and everyone is pretty busy getting those to market hoping to make lots of money to catch up on the bills before they can even think about spending money on collectibles and other fun things our vendors offer.
