Another Week Till Fathers Day

It’s only another week till Father’s Day. If you need to shop for some unusual or ‘hard-to-find’ items for your dad come on down and see what we have available. For those with ‘Father-type’ people in their lives count as well. It is just a special set aside for those male counterparts of the family equation who have provided for us, taught us needed lessons or just been there when we needed them. Some of our readers no longer have those people in their lives, some are those people. It is still a great day to have a family meal, have a get-together, or just go out and spend some time outdoors. Barbecuing, camping, picnicking, boating, fishing and any other outdoorsy activity is great right now before the real stormy season begins. Get your supplies and equipment ready this weekend for the next!

Rainy Outside but Dry Inside Market

We hope everyone is being safe out there today. It’s raining pretty good which makes all the crops and grass happy but us people not so much. Come on down and see what all our vendors have to offer today and tomorrow. They have everything from fresh fruits and veggies, fireworks, firearms, and even antiques and collectibles. Some vendors offer handcrafted items like “made to order” wooden signs, etched glass, and homemade baked goods and preserves. We have two full-service restaurants for you to try that provide homecooked meals and snacks.
Be safe and come on down.

Second Weekend Opened Going Strong

Yes, we made it another week here at the Market on a bright and beautiful sunny day here in Chiefland, Florida. We all hope you and yours are doing fine, staying healthy, and practicing that social distancing. We have had old vendors move out but we have new vendors coming in every day as well as some regulars who keep plugging along. Sonny wanted me to remind everyone that we have a Facebook Group page for vendors selling to other vendors.

Second Weekend in February 2020

Welcome to the second weekend in February 2020 here at the Market. We hope you and yours had a wonderful Valentine’s Day celebration whatever y’all created for each other. Mostly, it’s nice just to spend some devoted time with each other whether that’s a special someone, a great friend or being with your family. I just like all the chocolate myself and try to send out loving vibes to all my friends and family as often as I can throughout the year.

Happy Last Weekend in January 2020

We have had some wild and crazy weather this month from 80 degrees down to almost the 20s in some places around the area. But today it is sunshine and clear air. Come on down and see what our vendors have for sale. They provide everything from handcrafted items, fresh baked goods, antiques of all kinds, gently used items and even fresh fruits and vegetables. You can visit our Market almost every single weekend and we will have something different to offer as well as our regulars. The outside vendors are also a varied crew with lots of items for sale at reasonable prices. If for nothing else come on over and enjoy the walk around, say hi! to your neighbors, meet some new friends and enjoy a meal or snack at one of the restaurants.

Food Shop Updates

Diane’s Snack Shack on the corner of the Green and Red Rows posts their specials on their big chalkboard. Come on by and get yourself a homecooked breakfast or lunch or just a snack for later.

Mystic Cottage Bakery on the corner of the Blue and Yellow Rows has some fresh-baked bread, cinnamon rolls, turnovers, peanut butter fudge, and even those Buckeyes cookies. If her booth is closed that just means she is walking around the market with her repurposed wooden cart.

Toni’s Kitchen is also cooking up a storm and offering Stuffed Bell Peppers or Cabbage Rolls with Succotash and your choice of either Cole Slaw, Cottage Cheese or Cucumber Salad along with a piece of lemon cake.
