Hello everyone hope you are having a wonderful weekend. Yes, we could use a little rain to tamp down the dust and help out our lawns but it should be a very nice one. Mornings are getting cooler and lasting just a tiny bit longer. People are decorating their yards and houses with fall colors and Halloween will be here before you know it. The market people just love this time of year as more people are coming back to the area and everyone pretty much just loves the upcoming holiday. Especially, Sonny, the owner. He and his volunteers are busy putting up decorations, displays and getting the Haunted house ready for the kids and adults to enjoy.
Boy, we are having a really busy weekend and, of course, it doesn’t help that my laptop went on the fritz yesterday morning so I couldn’t finish this post. But such is life. We are having a nice influx of new vendors wanting spaces here at the market. Some of them are even crafters! We welcome them all and look forward to having a full house for the fall and winter season. Come on down and check us out every weekend. You just never know what you’re going to find.
Fall is definitely coming. It is a great season where you have a mixture of cool mornings, hot afternoons and the possibility of turning off the air conditioner for longer periods of time. The leaves are changing and the migrating birds are slowly returning to the area. It also means that the RVers and winter people will be coming back to our area. And there are more and more of the booths around the market filling up with the seasonal monthly vendors selling everything from handcrafted items, overstock items, antiques and collectibles and lots of gently used stuff that you can use, re-purpose or recycle into something totally different. The possibilities are endless!
The weekend before the school kids go back is fairly hectic time of year. Even though most of our vendors here don’t have all the usual “school” supplies you just never know until you try. So we hope to see you and yours coming by and enjoying the great food at our two restaurants, finding treasures in many of our booths and even pick up some of your supplies for the coming school year. Remember next week to be aware of our school zones and please stop when school buses stop to let children out. Going back to school earlier than usual is through everyone off just a little so please be patient.
Happy 4th everybody! Hope you and yours are having a safe and wonderful holiday weekend.
We had quite a few storms passing through yesterday in the county and surrounding area and not everyone was able to have their fireworks display. A few places around the tri-county area will reschedule. Even though they are loud and disturb our pets it is still awe-inspiring to watch a really good coordinated fireworks show.
