Post Turkey Day WrapUp

I don’t know about you but I am still a little bit stuffed from all the food my daughter served yesterday. We were a small gathering but there was love, laughter, and family news updates happening all the time we were able to spend together. Not our usual big family holiday but still nice all the same. All the vendors, employees, and owners of the market hope you and yours had a wonderful if quiet holiday and will continue to keep safe as you travel here and there. The market is opened today and we hope to see all of our regular customers and any new ones that want to drop by sometime this Black Friday Weekend of specials and great stuff for sale. You can pick up a much-needed item for yourself or grab yourself a couple of cool, unusual, or inventive little gifts. Please do shop early if you can because a lot of us are having to ship this year. Don’t want a mad rush between December 10-15th.

Vendor Updates

Toni’s Kitchen was featured in a small article on Channel 20 out of Gainesville on Thanksgiving Day. There is even a short video included. Toni wanted to thank Tammy from Fat Goose Auction, Flo from Flo’s Alterations, and Cindy at SaveALot who volunteered their time helping out preparing, serving, and even donating supplies. For those hankering from some desserts, she has plenty left over including Banana Pudding, Chocolate Cake, Apple Strudel, and various kinds of pies too. This weekend she will be creating specials with leftover turkey and ham.

A Lil This n A Lil That – has taken over the booth on the blue row with the half bicycle out front. The vendor, Clara Maddox, is a transplant from the Pecan Park Flea Market who has moved into the area for good. She features diabetic socks, fancy knives of all kinds, sizes, colors, and lengths as well as a little bit of this and that. Come on down and say, Hi!

Dixie Depot on the Yellow Row wanted everyone to know about his special holiday display right next to his booth. Come on in and see what great gift ideas they have to share with their customers too!

“Til Gone” – Riggs Family on the corner of the Yellow and Blue Rows has free-range eggs, snow cones, and boiled peanuts. Get your snack on and see what else they have to offer today.

B&E Smoker Shop on the Yellow row has made a special request to have their shop filmed and featured on the YouTube Channel for the Market. Took a quick video of all the great work they have done over the last couple of weeks to get their new space in order. Drop on by and see for yourself.

Treasure Hunt at the Market

If you haven’t been to the Chiefland Farmers Flea Market lately you might want to come on by this weekend and take advantage of the cooler weather. Remember your masks but if you don’t there are several vendors who make their own in a wide variety of colors and shapes. You can get your favorite team colors, cartoon characters, and even get a child and doll size set made to order. Walking around the market is great exercise and you just really never know what you may find that will tickle your fancy or fulfill a current need.

Primaries Over and School Kids Are Back In

Happy hot, muggy, rainy, covid-virus, facemask wearing, the election year, and school back in session week. Been very busy around the area with the children going back to school or getting on their computers to do the video school thing. We hope everyone voted in the primaries and are on the lookout for school buses and small ones running around trying to see where they are going with their little masks on. Please be careful out there, keep you and your family as safe as possible and see you around the market!

Last Weekend in July 2020

We have finally reached the last weekend in July. Which is about halfway through the summer already. Schools will be trying to start back up next month and who knows what that is going to look like. Vendors are moving out and others are moving in. So you just never know what you are going to find here at the market. We have bargains galore, some great and others just so-so. We have new items, used items, and even a whole bunch of antiques as well. If you don’t find what you are looking for ask some of the vendors they may know where you can get what you looking for or may even have it themselves. Most of our vendors have extra items at home and/or in storage somewhere.
