Hello Fall – Well Almost

Yes, It is almost Fall once more! Most of us are excited because the temperatures may or may not start going down. However, we are still in our busiest part of the hurricane season. We hope everyone has their hurricane provisions collected and ready. You do have your plan ready for where, who, when, and how all your family members are going to keep track of each other and report any problems? There are some vendors around the market who may have some supplies you may need, come on down this weekend and see what they have on your list.

It is Labor Day Weekend. Sadly, a lot of us around the country really won’t be celebrating too much as there is still a lot of unemployed people out there. That doesn’t mean we “vendors” (small business people, essential workers, and self-employed persons) do not deserve to take the day off and relax. Spend a little money on something fun at the market. You can pick up some really nice fruits and veggies or even local honey. Grab some breakfast at one of the restaurants or even a little lunch later on.

“The first Labor Day holiday was celebrated on Tuesday, September 5, 1882, in New York City, in accordance with the plans of the Central Labor Union. The Central Labor Union held its second Labor Day holiday just a year later, on September 5, 1883.”

Every weekend we welcome some new vendors and say, “Goodbye” to some others. You just never know what you are going to find unless you come on down and check us out. Even the regular vendors may have moved to another part of the market. That is half the fun though. Walking around and see what you can find; who you can say, “hello and How’re you doing?”; and locating just the right item you needed.

The Markets Facebook Page is public and open to posts that pertain to what you are selling in your booth. We encourage everyone to post pictures and “Check-In” to the market. For those with their own Facebook Business Pages you just need to like our page first. Create a Post on Your Page with pictures or a short video and use the ” @ChieflandFarmersFleaMarket ” inside your post to automatically share it on our page. This helps both of those pages to receive more views, more followers, and more customers!

If you are running out of ideas to feature your material or want a new marketing idea why not look at the National Day Calendars on the web? Just this weekend we have:

03 FRI National Skyscraper Day
03 FRI National Food Bank Day
04 SAT World Beard Day
