Last Weekend in July 2019

Hey, everybody! Hope you and yours are staying dry and safe out there. We hope to see everyone at least one of the three days we are open this weekend because you just never know what you are going to find here at the Market. Sonny and his helper have been working on converting a couple of booths on the Red Row into enclosed Booth and a half. You can add the walls and windows to your booth if you don’t like the chain link fence and would perhaps be able to run a small ac unit for you and your customers.

Personally, I think a booth and a half is just the perfect space for someone just starting out in their small business. It is not too small like a 10×10 and not too big like a full two booths might be plus the price is right for only $144 a month. You cannot lease 150 square feet of retail space for less than that anywhere that I have been able to find with as much traffic as we get here at the market. Of course, once you get going on your business and are making money you can always expand into a full two or three booths later on.

Some suggestions for small business vendors that we have been asked about are:

Watch repair and battery replacement service

Permanent Fresh Fruits and Vegetable Vendor

Bike Repairs Service and Parts Supply Vendor

RV and Travel Trailer Parts, Supplies and/or Gifts Vendor
Hat Maker

Of course, more talented artists selling their wares would be great too!

Vendor Updates

Lora’s Gift Shop on the Green Row next to the office is closed for the weekend. She is on a cruise and will return next weekend.

Toni’s Kitchen on the corner of the Yellow and Red Rows is featuring their Seafood Po’Boy Sandwich and Cold Plates this weekend as they just got back from vacation and haven’t quite gotten back into the groove yet.

Diane’s Restaurant on the corner of the Green and Red Rows is featuring their famous homemade spaghetti and meatballs or sausage sauce plate; Eggplant Parmesan plate; or even their freshly made Meatloaf Dinner Plate.

Dixie Depot (Dixie Outfitters) on the Yellow Row is offering a new service beginning this weekend – Customized T-shirts, plates, mugs, Yeti Coolers and cups. They are ready to start the T-shirt orders and are looking for a good wholesaler for the plates and cups. They offer full-color custom designs and include baby clothes, hats, aprons, vests and more. They have invested in the new Coroplast Screen Printing system that prints directly to the garments.

VC Ceramics has moved from the Green Row Booth 14 to a bigger and better spot on the Black Row Booth 29/31. Come on by and see all the lovely ceramic items she has available for sale today. Ms Wendy Armstrong is the artist who creates all of items and has a studio in Bell, Florida. We wish her well in her new booth space.
