May Day Wrap Up

The month of May was very busy and the weather is just getting hotter and hotter. The first weekend of the month was nice and busy but the weekend of Mother’s Day was even more so. We had lots of people trying to find things for their moms and moms shopping for themselves.

The management of the market is stepping up their marketing efforts and are enlisting the help of ALL of the monthly vendors to participate in weekend marketing/strategy meetings on Wednesdays at 1:00 pm. For those who are unable to attend but would really like to contribute towards the marketing efforts with donations or even volunteering for the various projects and events please get in touch with Lydia. Hope Donahue is walking around asking about participating in the new brochure that is being designed and Jed Lynch (Verizon – Cellphone Repair Booth) is creating a Facebook campaign. Jolene MacFadden (Southern Women Crafts booth) is taking new pictures and updating the current website. She is also designing a new one as well that will incorporate some great new online features for future weekend only vendors as well as monthly vendors too.

Memorial Day weekend was hot and muggy but the vendors were here and we had quite a few customers including a variety of veterans whom we all Thank for Their Service. All during the weekend we had patriotic songs over the loud speaker.

We will be doing a weekly column posting on Friday with the new website. Below are some pictures we have taken inside and out of the market this month. Most have been posted to the Facebook page. Please be sure to Like, Comment and Share.
